Letter from Year 5 Staff w/c 6th July
Date: 3rd Jul 2020 @ 5:35pm
Hello Everyone,
I seem to have frightened away the good weather with my talk of sun protection and keeping safe in the hot weather last week. All I can say is that it is a good job that we are waterproof. We have had some lovely emails this week and loved hearing about what you have been up to in last week’s sunshine.
I hope the rain doesn’t stop you getting some fresh air.

Gardening in the Rain.
This weekend in spite of the rain I have been out trying to turn a patch of mud into a little garden. The planta have been sitting in pots for weeks and have survived the heat …. But will they survive the relentless rain. Sid normally keeps me company but he and Gracie, very wisely, decided to stay indoors. I got through three pairs of waterlogged wellies filled with mud and two waterproof coats. The wellies were so disgusting they had to be cleaned in the sink before they could be put down. They were filled with soapy water and given a good scrub to get rid of the mud and grit inside… then put to dry by the fire- which pleased Pip enormously.
Keep working hard. If you have time do a little sun dance to try and encourage the weather to perk up again. The farmers needed the rain… but you can have too much of a good thing!
