Letter from Year Group staff w/c 15th June
Date: 15th Jun 2020 @ 9:21am
Dear Year 2,
How are you all? We hope that you are still safe and your families are doing okay. Well, from the government announcement this week it doesn’t look like we will be getting back to school before the summer holidays which makes us so sad as we miss you all so much! It is now just as important as before that you keep trying with your online learning – we love seeing the photos of your work so please keep sending them.
Mrs Williams loved seeing photos of Zuzanna baking – the buns looked delicious! – and hearing that the tomato seeds she planted a few weeks ago have started to grow. Zuzanna has also made a stunning terrarium and been busy practising her measuring skills and enjoying learning Spanish. Elizah has made a fabulous shadow theatre, based on Roblox – it was fantastic- thank you for sending photos. Michelle looks very professional with her school work organised in a folder and it has been lovely hear what she’s been doing. Mrs Williams also loved hearing what Farley has been up to.
Miss March was so impressed this week with Katernia’s work. She has been very busy at home creating a family tree and doing lots of work in the garden and with her family. Lybah has sent some fantastic photographs of her outside enjoying the sunshine. Miyah has had so much fun running in fields and playing outside in her paddling pool. Lexi and Issac have been so busy outside too enjoying the nice weather.
Miss March’s Adventures
This week I have been super busy! I have been in school working with the key worker children and it has been lovely! I have missed seeing your wonderful smiles every day so it has been lovely spending time with some of you. I have also been extremely lucky because I was able to visit my puppy! I spent an hour outside with her, socially distancing in the garden. She is the smallest thing I have ever seen and I cannot wait to bring her home next week.
Mrs Williams’ Adventures
This week I’ve done lots of online Science training that Mrs Mellor has asked all the staff to do along with continuing the new history and geography curriculum planning for September. This week I had a change of baking - I found a recipe that my nanny used to bake for us when we were little so made this instead (almond and sultana shortcake). It wasn’t as good as when she used to bake it but it brought back lots of memories nonetheless! I have carried on walking most days now I’m allowed out but just local to my house.
