In School
- The children in school have been doing an 'Around the World' topic this week and linking their learning to different countries.
- On Wednesday, the children learnt all about France. They learnt how to speak some French and recreated artwork by Henri Matisse using chalks.
- Miss Johnson taught the children all about the Philippines (the country where her Mum is from) on Thursday. They learnt some basic conversational phrases in Tagalog and then had a go at designing, preparing and cooking their own pancit - a Filipino noodle stir fry. Their cooking creations were delicious and a few children said they plan on having a go at making it again with their families!
- Mr Norris focussed on Brazil later on in the week. The children used ICT to create posters about deforestation using quotes they had found.
- The children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 also worked hard to create dragon eggs using clay and to write instructions for making beans on toast. Well done everybody.
