Nursery Sessions
Nursery sessions are from 8.40am until 11.40am if you have a morning place, or from 12.15pm until 3.15pm if you have an afternoon session.
We offer full day sessions for working parents who are eligiable for 30 hrs a week funding from the government.
A little about us
We are able to offer a nurturing, caring and educational environment for our youngest children. Staff have experience working in different settings and understand the importance of children's emotional well being and have this as a priority. Our children who have attended our nursery setting have the advantage when they begin reception as they already know the expectations of the school and the reception staff know the children and the children have a smoother transistion and ready to be successful.
During the nursery sessions we offer children many different experiences and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The staff are skilled at ensuring the children are developing based on their individual needs in all areas of learning in a holistic approach. We also have sleeping facilites for our children who attend full days as we understand that some children still require an afternoon nap.
Tapestry
We use an online learning journal called Tapestry which we use to upload photographs, videos and tell you a little about what your child has been doing at nursery. Parents are also able to add their own observations so we can see what the children have been doing at home. It is a very secure site and can only be accessed via an email link sent from school. We have a strict policy that parents must not share photographs on social media otherwise their access will be taken away.
Links for Home
We work with the children to listen to lots of different sounds around them, these are important skills for reading and writing. Cbeebies have a podcast aimed at children that you can download and listen to with your children, we will be listening to some in school too.

As we learn letter sounds it is important the children learn only the pure sound, below is a youtube video that gives examples of the pure sounds.
